What’s in Your “Purse?”

Most of us women carry a purse everywhere we go. The BIG question is what’s in the purse? Makeup, junk papers, old receipts, money, a wallet, cellphone, tablet, etc. Sometimes a computer, too, and if you’re anything like me, you always have snacks on deck. That sounds like a lot, right? Well, what happens when the purse begins to weigh down on your shoulder? When the straps start getting weak and  begin to break? Usually, we just  change purses and restart the cycle.

Now imagine that full purse is your life. How much baggage and junk are you carrying with you? Heartbreaks, rejection, self-doubt, guilt, fear, etc. Just like the stuff in your purse that you transfer over to the new purse, so do thoughts and pain. Eventually, you begin to get weighed down and broken because you’re carrying too much with you.

New junk may hide the old junk but the reality is, it doesn’t get rid of it. Heal those broken hearts and get rid of those thoughts of fear and guilt! Until you face them head-on and stop stuffing them in the bottom of the purse, you will never truly heal from them.
