What We Know About CES 2017

CES 2017 is upon us and it will be nothing less than amazing! This IS the place to see the future of tech. From TVs, autonomous cars, and the latest mobile devices to progressive virtual reality experiences and superior cameras, CES doesn’t disappoint when it comes to cutting edge technology.

This year’s event takes place January 5-8, 2017 at various venues along the Las Vegas strip, but there will be numerous pre-show announcements starting January 3rd and 4th. Lots of folks have been whispering about what we’re going to see this year, and we have a few predictions of our own, including some companies you’ll want to keep your eye on.

Samsung
All eyes are going to be on Samsung for several reason. It’s reported that the tech giant will release several new products on the CES floor, including an H7 wireless speaker, a curved monitor, and a revolutionary laundry system. It will almost seem like last year’s Galaxy Note 7  is an afterthought.

T-Mobile
Not since 2014 when T-Mobile’s CEO John Legere announced Un-carrier 4.0, better known as the “Get Out of Jail Free Card,” has the brand been so secretive about what’s next. Oh, and don’t even think about asking him on Twitter. He is NOT spilling the beans until January 5th.

Smart Home
The smart home, products that can connect to the Internet, will be a major focus as more companies jump into the connected game. From smart light bulbs that can be controlled by a smartphone to thermostats that automatically change temperature based on your habits, these products are projected to be in more than 18% of homes this year. Right now Google and Amazon are battling for market share but other brands like Apple and LG won’t be too far behind.

Transportation
Demos will increase as the Detroit Auto Show approaches, however automakers such as FCA and Faraday Future are getting started early. With FCA holding its first press conference at CES, the brand will showcase its latest in-vehicle interactive technology advancements in FCA U.S. vehicles.

2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid

Faraday is experiencing a shake-up as we speak in their executive ranks. As the CES reveal of its first production electric car looks to go ahead despite the headlines, Future’s reveal event will be live on Facebook in addition to having an outdoor area where the company will demonstrate the capabilities of its fleet of vehicles on a closed course.
