Snooze AM Eatery Will Make You Never Want to Skip Breakfast Again

Billing itself as an AM eatery, Snooze sets the bar pretty high: classic breakfast and brunch dishes, and modern interpretations of old favorites. The atmosphere is casual, welcoming a nice mix of families and friends with a neighborhood feel.

Eating Well

Eggs, ‘sammies’ (sandwiches), pancakes, fresh coffee, and morning cocktails–all the building blocks of a great meal are here at Snooze. Standout dishes include Breakfast Pot Pie, a deconstructed egg breakfast with homemade rosemary sausage gravy over a puff pastry; and Summer Harvest Benny, a takeoff on Eggs Benedict built on Parmesan pesto quinoa cakes.

Want something sweeter? Sweet potato pancakes are a good start. Or perhaps the Pineapple Upside Down pancakes? Pancake purists needn’t worry–plain, blueberry, and chocolate chip pancakes, along with good old French toast, are also among the choices.

For those who’d prefer a sandwich, variations on the Cuban and the Reuben fit in perfectly with the traditional grilled cheese paired with tomato soup. Don’t see quite what you’re looking for? Don’t worry, the folks at Snooze welcome custom orders.

Waking Up with Coffee and More

Snooze doesn’t just offer the big traditional breakfast dishes. Diners can get lighter meals like granola, salad, toast, and egg white frittata. Sides include bacon, chorizo, pulled pork, sausage, and even barbacoa. Plus, tofu and soyrizo. Round out your meal with coffee, tea/chai, juice, or a morning cocktails: Mimosa, Bellini, two kinds of Bloody Mary, and specialty drinks.

Good Cooking and Good Neighbors

Snooze was established by a pair of brothers in Colorado in 2006. In the decade since then, the business has expanded into a chain that serves folks in Colorado, California, Arizona, and Texas. The company’s mantra is: It only takes a moment to make a difference. And the folks who work at Snooze exhibit that through supporting community projects through volunteerism and in-kind donations. The Houston location works closely with Brighter Bites, Urban Harvest, and Heroes for Children.

So don’t hit snooze on your alarm. Get up and go to Snooze instead.
