5 Reasons To Stay At The DoubleTree By Hilton Hotel Niagara Falls

Visited by an estimated 30 million people each year, Niagara Falls is a major international destination. Comprised of 3 giant waterfalls, Niagara Falls is split between United States and Canadian territories. Both beautiful and an eye-grabbing wonder of the world, Niagara Falls is simply one of those must-visit destinations for people of all ages and backgrounds.

When visiting the area — which is about a 35-minute drive from Buffalo Niagara International Airport — there lies the question of where to stay. Thanks to Destination Niagara USA, I had the pleasure of staying at the DoubleTree By Hilton Hotel Niagara Falls. While the primary draw to the Niagara Falls area was of course the waterfalls themselves, I was blown away by my hotel and below are 5 reasons why that was the case.

1) The Guestrooms

Standard rates at the DoubleTree By Hilton Hotel Niagara Falls are well below $200 before taxes and tips, even in peak season. An upgrade to a suite is not much more. Your suite not only includes a comfortable bed, 2 televisions and a sizable living area, but also a large bathroom with a whirlpool bathroom. Both the bedroom and the bathroom offer a breathtaking a river view. Speaking of the bathroom, which includes a separate shower with a seated space, a generous amount of Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries were provided.

2) The Lower Level

One level below the lobby on the ground level is an indoor pool and a fitness center. While the pool’s shape is not ideal for swimming laps, it is sectioned off so that multiple parties can enjoy themselves. Hours for the pool go from morning to the late evening, while the state-of-the-art gym is open 24-hours daily.

3) Its Restaurant

The Parkway Prime Steakhouse & Lounge is the on-site restaurant of the DoubleTree By Hilton Hotel Niagara Falls. The menu offered at Parkway is a mix of steakhouse favorites (e.g. 16 oz. Strip Steak, 20 oz. Porter House), comfort food (e.g. Pierogi Flatbread, Calamari) and Asian-fusion inventions (e.g. Cauliflower Banh Mi, Curry Bowl). In turn, this is the rare sort of hotel restaurant you won’t feel eating at to have been a compromise.

4) Its Location

The DoubleTree By Hilton Hotel Niagara Falls is within walking distance of Niagara Falls. It is also close to the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino, should you be interested in gambling. Goat Island and Niagara Falls Adventure Park can also be reached easily with ease, as can chain restaurants like the Hard Rock Cafe (which has an area dedicated to the Buffalo Music Hall Of Fame) and the Rainforest Cafe. In turn, a trip to Niagara Falls will offer plenty more than your visit to the aforementioned waterfalls.

5) The Cookies

When you check in to the DoubleTree By Hilton Hotel Niagara Falls, you are offered a chocolate chip cookie. If you ask for another one at the front desk, you will get one. If you check in using your Hilton HHonors account, you also get some bottled water. That is a nice touch, to say the least, as the only free thing many hotels will offer is wi-fi.
