There is no time of the year to not be thinking about living a healthy lifestyle. In turn, for A Global Lifestyle, here are 13 items to help keep you healthy and satisfied in the near-future.

Salviana Raw Maguey Sap

Not just a fantastic low-glycemic sweetener, but also a great source of prebiotics and probiotics to support healthy gut functions, Salviana Raw Maguey Sap is popular natural sweetener. With a consistence and texture to that of honey, Raw Maguey Sap can be used in place of honey or other sweeteners and reduce or replace a consumer’s need to use other pre or probiotic supplements.

Sabra’s Sweet & Smoky BBQ Hummus With Jackfruit & Smoked Paprika

Hummus is one of those all-purpose foods that can work at a party, as a post-workout snack or a quick fix for energy replenishment, and Sabra makes America’s top-selling hummus. For the spring, the company released a limited-edition variety: Sweet & Smoky BBQ Hummus With Jackfruit & Smoked Paprika. This hummus makes to have both smokyness and sweetness. It will be interesting to see which limited-edition flavor comes next from Sabra.

Bolthouse Farms’ Plant Protein Milk

Being lactose-intolerant is a common thing, and those people affected by that sort of thing probably crave a milk-like product for their coffee, baking and/or snacking purposes. A lot of milk alternatives are lacking in nutritional content, yet Bolthouse Farms’ Plant Protein Milk is full of vitamins and protein. Available in chocolate, vanilla, original and unsweetened varities, Bolthouse Farms’ pea protein-based milk has 50% more calcium than dairy milk and 10 grams of protein per serving. Furthermore, it is vegan, non-GMO, and also free of nuts, soy and gluten.

Toufayan Bakeries’ Organic Garlic Naan Bread

New Jersey-based Toufayan Bakeries has been producing and selling kosher bakery products since 1926. The company produces over 100 varieties of baked goods, and having moved ahead with the times, Toufayan makes low-carb bagels and gluten-free wraps. But my favorite Toufayan offering is the Organic Garlic Naan Bread, which also comes in a traditional non-garlic flavor. I can eat that alone as a snack, just as I can their Gluten-Free Scoop-Able Pita Chips.

Fire Department Coffee’s Irish Whiskey-Infused Coffee

The Irish Whiskey-Infused Coffee by Fire Department Coffee is the newest addition to FDC’s acclaimed spirit-infused coffee line. Created using FDC’s signature spirit-infusion process, the Irish Whiskey-Infused Coffee is a medium-bodied roast with flavors of toffee, butterscotch, and vanilla. For classic coffee lovers, FDC also offers an Original Roast, Dark Roast, and Donut Shop. Also notable about the firefighter owned and operated company — which gives a 15 percent discount to first responders and military personnel — is that it recently collaborated with the K Bar Soap Co. to produce Latherhead Soap, for which 100 percent of the proceeds go to fighting cancer.

BareOrganics Juices

The current juice offerings from BareOrganic are Acai Berry, Turmeric Root, Graviola and Beet Root. All of these varities are organic, natural, non-GMO, gluten-free, vegan and contain no artificial coloring. Also low in calories and small in serving size, they are compatible with just about an diet you can think of.

CHERRISH

Recently showcased at New York’s Summer Fancy Food Show, CHERRISH is reportedly is the only juice to combine the antioxidant power of US-grown 100% Montmorency tart and Bing cherries while also offering research-backed anti-inflammatory benefits. CHERRISH aims to serve as a drink for training and recovery purposes, supporting muscle recovery, performance and overall active lifestyle activities. The all-natural tart beverage also comes in Cherry Pomegranateand Cherry Blueberry varieties, and if you purchase a 6-pack through CHERRISH website, you will also get a cooler sent to you.

MadeGood Crispy Light Granola

To say that MadeGood’s granolas are health-oriented would be an understatement as they are certified gluten-free, organic, and non-GMO. Each portion contains beneficial fiber and protein and is high in vitamin A C, D, E, and B6. Each serving contains nutrients from one serving of vegetables including spinach, carrots, broccoli, tomatoes, beets and shiitake mushrooms. The same also applies to MadeGood’s Crispy Squares (which resemble marshmallow treats) and Soft Baked Mini Cookies. Other brands ought to learn from MadeGood’s ability to produce snacks that so easily incorporate vegetables.

BODYARMOR LYTE

BODYARMOR LYTE is a naturally-flavored, naturally-sweetened, low-calorie and low sodium sports drink which combines potassium-packed electrolytes, coconut water and vitamins. In turn, it is refreshing, thirst-quenching and hydrating all at once. It currently comes in 4 flavors: Peach Mango, Cherry Berry, Orange Citrus and Blueberry Pomegranate. BODYARMOR LYTE also manages to be gluten-free and is made without preservatives or artificial flavors. My favorite is the Orange Citrus.

Noosh Almond Butters

Noosh Brands, which showcased at this year’s Summer Fancy Food Show in New York, recently unveiled its new product line of Almond Butters, Almond Protein and Almond Oils. All of these products use whole, California-grown almonds are manage to be vegan, non-GMO, gluten-free, kosher, dairy-free and soy-free. Of the new Noosh Almond Butters, my favorite is the keto-friendly Birthday Cake flavor, which is available in a squeezable packet. And yes, that packet is shaped like an almond.

Ruccello Olive Oil

Ruccello Olive Oil was founded last year by RoseAnne Ruccello-Fischer. Coming from decades within the healthcare field, Ruccello-Fischer is known to be passionate about eating and living well, and her company was founded with the purpose of bringing the highest-quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil from the best producers from around the world to American consumers. But further distinct about Ruccello Olive Oil is that the company also products bath and body products (e.g. soap, lipgloss) and olive wood products — in addition to olive-themed aprons — so you know the company means business when it comes to keeping top-tier olive oil in mind.

Field Roast Vegan Grain Meat Sausages

Field Roast is a top producer of vegan “meats,” of which it produces using only natural ingredients, like grains, vegetables, legumes and spices. Seattle chef David Lee started Field Roast in 1996 by combining the European Charcuterie tradition with the Asian Mien Ching tradition of crafting vegetarian meats from grains. Last year, Field Roast expanded into frozen foods, bringing its Sunflower County-Style Katsu Cutlet, FRuffalo Wings and Miniature Corn Dogs onto the market. This company also has some interesting sausage-style products on the market, including its Mexican Chipotle Sausage, Apple Maple Breakfast Sausage and the Field Roast Frankfurters. For those wishing for a vegan burger from Field Roast, they may want to try the Hand-Formed Fieldburrger, which is made with barley, fresh carrots and celery.

Kuli Kuli

Kuli Kuli, which also showcased at the 2018 Summer Fancy Food Show at the Javits Center in New York, is an Oakland, California-based brand. Founded in 2011, Kuli Kuli was the first company to introduce Moringa oleifera — a nutritious plant food — to the United States market. Beyond its Moringa Bars, which are available in the Crunchy Almond, Black Cherry and Dark Chocolate flavors, Kuli Kuli also produces the smoothie-friendly Pure Moringa Vegetable Powder. Compared to kale, Moringa reportedly has 2 times the protein, 2.5 times the fiber, 3 times the calcium and 4 times the iron, so if the goal is try to incorporate more Moringa into your lifestyle, then Kuli Kuli provides a very fine entry point to that plan.
